Is this real verification or just a regex format check?

Real verification. Syntax is only the first, free step. Addresses that pass are checked at the SMTP mailbox level through the DeBounce email-verification engine to return an actual deliverability verdict — Valid, Invalid, Risky (including catch-all and disposable), or Unknown, with flags for disposable, role-based, and free-provider addresses.

How does the pipeline avoid wasting credits?

Four layers run per address: a free instant syntax check; local prefilters that flag disposable domains, role-based addresses, and free providers and reject no-MX domains without spending a credit; a 30-day cache that answers repeats instantly and free; and only then the DeBounce API for the rest. You pay one credit per email actually verified — on instant checks, cache hits and prefilter rejects are free. Lists over ten addresses go straight to the DeBounce bulk engine, where every address in the list is verified and billed.

How big a list can I run, and can I cancel?

Small lists of ten or fewer validate live with a progress bar. Larger lists run through the DeBounce bulk engine — up to around 200,000 emails per run — with queued progress updates and automatic resume, and you can keep using the bot while a job runs. Send /cancel anytime; cancelled or failed bulk jobs are never charged.

How do I pay, and do credits expire?
